Established in 2004 by Kazuo and Kumiko Furukawa in memory of their daughter Mariko Furukawa, this scholarship is to be awarded annually to one or more full-time undergraduate students of Lebanon Valley College. Scholarships are renewable for up to three years.
Eligible candidates shall be current or prospective students from Japan who are of good academic standing and demonstrate financial need. In any year in which there is no eligible student to receive the Scholarship, eligible candidates shall include any current or prospective student in biology, chemistry, or biochemistry.
この奨学基金は古川一男と久美子の娘である故真梨子を記念して２００４年に設立されたものです。奨学金は毎年一人もしくは複数のＬＶＣ大学の正規学部生に対して授与され、３年までは更新可能とします。
授与対象者は、学業成績良好かつ経済支援を必要とする日本人留学生で入学予定者か在学生とします。日本人授与対象者無き場合には、生物学、化学、または生化学専攻の学生のなかから選考するものとします。
